Dr. Tan Yong Lin is a highly dedicated and experienced orthopaedic surgeon with a strong academic foundation and a deep commitment to patient care. He began his medical journey at Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with First-Class Honours under the prestigious JPA scholarship. Demonstrating both academic excellence and clinical capability, Dr. Tan later pursued his Master of Orthopaedic Surgery (Ms Ortho) at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), where he honed his surgical expertise and advanced clinical competencies in orthopaedic care.

Throughout his career, Dr. Tan has contributed to numerous institutions across Malaysia, providing quality care and advancing orthopaedic services. His experience spans over a decade, including postings at Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Hospital Slim River, and Hospital Sultan Ismail, where he underwent his specialist gazettement. He has been actively involved in clinical teaching, research, and conference presentations, with his work being featured in national and international orthopaedic meetings.

Previously, Dr. Tan served as the Head of the Orthopaedic Department at Hospital Mersing, Johor, where he set up and led a multidisciplinary team in managing trauma, joint, and spine cases. Known for his compassionate approach and meticulous surgical technique, he is committed to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based treatment and patient education. His ability to communicate fluently in multiple languages including Malay, English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, and Indonesian enhances his connection with diverse patient populations, making him a trusted orthopaedic consultant in the region.
